I have had ibs for at least twenty years and up until the last maybe five I have got a life again thanks to a doctor who also taking levbid. Then three weeks ago I'm told they are no longer making it.Put a whoa on my life. I looked into every avenue and now all of sudden they are giving me a generic called hyomax-sr I was on the generic hyoscyamine. Why would they stop making something that works for hundreds of people.

Have taken various generic brands of this drug for over 10 years. Recently, another generic came on the market after the discontinuance scare. I have had to cut back to 1/4th the dose due to markedly increased problems with urination. Even at this lower dose, problems remain. Drug was very effective, but I am now concerned that something in this new formulation causes urination problems.

My Gastroenterologist and 2 pharmacys have told me they think this drug has been dicontinued. Does anyone know anymore than I'm finding out. It took me years to find relief with this drug and now I'm scared I'll have to start searching again.

I have had chronic diarrhia for many months. I just started taking this med and is not working. How long does it take to work?

sometimes I can take it in time to stop most of the cramping, often it does not completely stop it

been taking levbid for a number of years. the best med. I have have used for the hurt (feels like someone standing on the top poart of my stomach) is levbid in the sublinguial form. I can take it when my stomach starts & in very short time it starts easing the pain. It helps so much with the pain.

The best drug for IBS....why is it being discontinued?

after hurting for what seem lieks months and months in agonizing and insescrible pain my doctor prescribed me this meicicine..and it helped me out tremoundsly and didnt take long to get in my system either and work.....i had no problems with it...just tyring to figure out why when i tried to fill it..my pharmacy told me that they coulnt get it anymore and several pharmacys were not getting it

i have been told this drug is being discontinued. Why?

I have Chronic Ulcerative Proctitis Disease since I was 15. This drug has made my life SO much better. Depression can set in when you are in constant pain This made me love life again.

I have had IBS for the past 17 years.I had no life until the doctor prescribed me Levbid.From the first day I took it I can say I am very happy.I no longer have to stay in my house.I can have a life again.

Seriously, my IBS was ruining my life as I have an enlarged heart and a high colon. My colon twists up like a wet rag especially under stress and forces everything upward. The way I know it is working great is that a whole day may go by when my IBS does not even bother me and this is something I have not been able to say for about 8 years! Very Happy!!!

experienced psycosis event

It has worked better than anything else I've ever taken. My doctor has me take it with the Levsin sublingual. I get dry mouth, stuffy nose & tired when I take it, the tiredness gets better if I take it for more than 1 day.

Had severe stomach pain within an hour of taking it. Doubled over with pain, could not work, went to ER. How long does it take to leave the system? What will cause it to pass through the system more rapidly?

This drug has been a God send for my IBS syptoms. The only side effect I've noticed is a dry mouth. But compared to the other problems I experienced before, I'd take the dry mouth any day!!

As with the previous med I was on for same condition Levbid "worked" for the first 2 days after the first day. I was taking it BID but when I called and complained about the ineffectiveness the doctor told me I could take it TID which had no effect. I keep taking it because I am afraid of taking nothing?!?

This drug has changed my life for the better! Instead of IBS running my life, I do.

I've had ibs since about 1999, and can not live without this medication, and I also take Pamine, also for ibs.. I hate ibs, but love those meds..
