I was on a generic form of Levbid for about 2 years and then my doctor told me it was no longer available. Since that time I have tried every drug out there and have had no luck. Some of them even made my conditions worse. There are days I can't even make it the 2 miles to town without stopping at a restroom.

I have been taking Levbid for about 2 years and this is the only medication that has worked for me and the side effects are minimal. I was told their was no longer a generic available and was paying brand name price however I recently discovered thru by mail order pharmacy taht there is the generic to Levbid 0.375mg ER called Symac. I hope this review is of help to the folks who need this medication.

I have a problem with my pancreas & I would have real bad attacks. The digestive juices are sluggish & inflames the pancreas. Since I have been on this medicine I propably had a few very minor attacks. I had an ERCP done & that is how the problem was determined. Every attack I've had before taking this medicine required hospilazation. That is how bad they were. Hope this info is helpful.

I have great and immediate success with this medication

I had a problem for years and then my doctor said it was iritable bowel. This medicine worked great. I had taken it for about 4 years and I was told by Walmart Pharmacy that it no longer existed. It was $5.50 for 60 pills. Now I have to take HYOMAX-SR 0.375 WHICH IS $70.00 FOR 60 PILLS. NO GENERICS.

Has helped my IBS greatly. In place of having 10-20 movements a day I only have 2. WHY IS GOING OFF THE MARKET.

I used this Medication as the first med for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and it made me so tired that I would sleep for 15-18 hours a day with no control over it. I ended up having to switch to a couple different meds because of how long i was sleeping and it wasn't helping me

I was told by pharmacy this drug has been taken off market by FDA Is a very "old" drug and was grandfathered in without approval by FDA

I have tried many IBS medicines and this takes the cake. Thank God for Levbid!

This drug did not stop the intestinal cramping. I took this for five days and on the second day, I was seeing black spots shooting around in front of me and a flash of light in my left eye. I quit taking this medication but the eye problems still exist. I also experience blurred vision, dry mouth & nose, dry skin, dizziness, drowsy, migrain (which I have never had previously)and constipation (defeating the purpose)!

I was prescribe this med for ibs symptoms of stomach pain and bloating. I took it twice with no relief.

I have been diag with irritable bowel , 3 ulcers ,and diverticulitus . Nice trio . Statred having lots of pain and bloatedness . Doctod gave me levbid take is every 12 hours and within 3 hours felt a difference . Would recommend to try as I have triedalot of different scripts . Does give me very dry mouth but it is better than the pain by far.

This drug has not been taken off of the market as of 11/14/08 because I just filled my prescription today.

I took levbid for "IBS" & it worked great.I have been told they are no longer making it & I'm devastated.Does anyone know of another drug that's like it that has a generic? I need to take that medicine but money is also an issue for me so I would need a generic etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I took it for a month along with Colozal and when i tried to refill it,it had gone up to nearly a hundred dollars!! is there more than one manufactor?

This drug worked wonders for me. Dry mouth was my only side effect. My Dr. told me it has been taken off the market. I am now using Bentyl, good,but it is not as long lasting.

It worked very well, reduced pain and cramping.
