I have a mole on the back of my leg. I got bitten during a spring night near the mole and the mole swelled up with fluid. My doctor wrote a scrip for clindamycin. 300mg 3x a day. I took on dose last night. Today, day, my face was red and I developed a rash. My face swelled up, I have the rash on my face, next and lower forearms. My tongue is swollen and I had heartburn. I was given clindamycin as a precaution when having a tooth extracted. I am allergic to Amox and I am pregnant so this was the drug my dentist prescribed. I have had horrible heart burn and have been extra achy since i have been on it - all of which i thought was just a symptom of pregnancy, not due to the drug. My Doctor gave this to me for a lump of some sort in my neck, and for the white stuff all over my throat. Nothing else has worked. been on this for 4 days, now I have diarrhea, and since day one I have been sick and very tired. 300 mg 4x day. I HAD GINGIVITIS MY DR. PRESCRIBED CLINDAMYACIN , OMG I HAVE HAD DIAHARREA FOR 2 AND 1/2 WEEKS, LOST 10 POUNDS, SICK AS A DOG SLEEP ALL THE TIME CANT EAT THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE! THE PILL WAS 300MILLAGRAMS 3 TIMES A DAY WOW HE TOLD ME IT WAS HOSPITAL STRENGETH WHAT FOR CLEANING TOILET BOWLS??????? CAUSE IT SURE DID CLEAN ME OUT! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER TAKE THIS MED AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a tooth abscess. I took it for two weeks and it cleared it up. Take it with a piece of bread and 8oz. of water and you should have less side effects.
