Comment:
Makes me groggy all day and evenings. My doctor gave me 150 mg x day/7 days until done for a wisdom tooth infection prior to extracting the tooth. It makes me want to sit down and go to sleep all day. I hope I do not have other side effects as shared there. My work cannot allow that to happen during my day.

Was given clindamycin 300mg 4x day for 10 days for tooth extractions and infection. When taking the drug, it made my stomach upset, mild nausea, and dry mouth, but it killed the infection. Now 2 weeks after completing the treatment I have diarrhea, urinary urgency and dysuria. I will never take this medicine again! 3 weeks after taking this medication, I have bouts of diarrhea sometimes not making it to the bathroom I have heavy responsibilities and can't afford to be like this!! and don't have insurance.. took medication for a tooth abscess would not have taken if I had known about the serious side effects now I don't know what to do to stop the diarrhea...

I was diagnosed with Strep throat and initially given 500mg of Penicillin to take 3x daily for 10 days. 3 days after completion, my strep throat came back - so the second time I was given Clindamycin: 300mg to take 4x daily for 10 days.
