clonidine for me has been a life saver, after three doctors and twenty or so blood pressure kinds of pills, clonidine worked best for me. it is not perfect but works great 99 percent of the time.

Been on clonidine for over a year now for extremely high bp that is hard to control. At first worked great. Now I take it 4x per day it's barely moves my bp and the side effects are terrible. Dizziness, dry eyes and mouth. Also if I don't take it right before bed I don't sleep at all but when I do take it right before bed I wake up with terrible migraines, also have very vivid dreams. ... VERY GOOD DRUG FOR A NUMBER OF THINGS...HYPERTENSION,OPIATE WITHDRAWL,MILD PAIN,MILD INSOMNIA, I TAKE FOR HYPERTENSION AND OPIOD AND BENZODIAZIPINE WITHDRAWL. PRETTY MUCH A LIFE SAVER DRUG! I TAKE 0.2 TWICE A DAY.

Comment:
I have bad side effects with this medication. I have to take laxatives nearly every night just to go to the bathroom. Mouth is dry, eyes are dry, I take eye drops for dry eyes., vision get blurry. Told this to my Doctor, was told to take stool softner. I think I should be taken off this medication.
