I have been taking 2 naproxen twice a day for a couple of years with very good pain relief. Cardiologist now recommends I stop or alternate with Tylenol. Two weeks in and I am miserable . 67 years old, female, retired nurse. Kidney and hepatic tests are normal. I'm going back to what works.

I have taken this drug at different times for different types of pain. I can't take ibuprofen anymore because it is very hard on my stomach. Tylenol type pain relievers don't help me much so I have tried the naproxen. It is pretty effective at relieving moderate pain and reducing more heavy pain. This medication has helped me with my Migraine Headches. I don't get them as often as I was (about 15 a month) and it keeps my muscles relaxed to keep from migraines coming on. I have also started acupuncture ehich has helped as well. The only thing I worry about this drug is the stomach bleeding, I am trying not to take it as often for I nervous that may happen. I have been taking it for about 3 weeks now and I see a difference.

It is hard to tell if this medication is of any help. I take so many other "pain" meds. that I believe they all work together to ease some of my pains.
