my miracle drug! I have Hiatal Hernia with Reflux Esophagitis, I've tried pretty much everything else and only get temporary relief + diahrea, but with one 30mg Lansoprazole capsule every morning I have no symtoms at all, and I eat whatever I want with no ill effects. my stomach feels 18 again !

I've been using Prevacid for over 15 yrs and never had an issue. With change of insurance Previcid now cost me $180 for three month thru Welldyn. Btw, which is a horrible company to deal with. After using lansoprazole oral for a month. I'm gassy, bloated and uncomfortable all day. Plus the medicine is less effective than the name brand Previcid.

I have used Prevacid 30 mg once daily for over 5 years and ahve great success in treating erosion of the esophagus. I am concerned about long term use and the effects on liver and kidneys. A recent abdominal ultrasound showed "spots" on liver and kidney with no apparent concern of my healthcare provider. Has anyone experienced this same effect after long term use?

I suffered GERD/Esophagus with barrets for 12+ years. I've been using 30's for 4 years 2x's daily. If I skip a dose I get acid in my throat. I don't know what I would do without it...it does work bur it hasn't been a cure for me as I have heard that it can repair damage...that hasn't been the case for me.
