my miracle drug! I have Hiatal Hernia with Reflux Esophagitis, I've tried pretty much everything else and only get temporary relief + diahrea, but with one 30mg Lansoprazole capsule every morning I have no symtoms at all, and I eat whatever I want with no ill effects. my stomach feels 18 again !

I've been using Prevacid for over 15 yrs and never had an issue. With change of insurance Previcid now cost me $180 for three month thru Welldyn. Btw, which is a horrible company to deal with. After using lansoprazole oral for a month. I'm gassy, bloated and uncomfortable all day. Plus the medicine is less effective than the name brand Previcid.

I believe that this medication has given me daily diarhea. I can't find a description of reactions to this drug. I use it with the addictional name of Prevasid.

Just switched from Prevacid by insurance. After having reflux controlled for years, am now experiencing same old problems. There is no way this generic is the same as Prevacid. I will have to find another solution.Very dissapointed.

I took Prevacid for years with outstanding results. For the generic of Prevacid, this drug sucks. I have heartburn after eating things that never gave me problems before and much gas and reflux. I hate this drug; am considering going to get OTC Prevacid on my own because this generic drug is not at all helpful; I haven't felt this bad in years.

I have taken Prevacid for years now and it worked perfectly, but since it went OTC my insurance won't give me Prevacid anymore. They give me this horrible generic that doesn't work instead. Now I have a red, itchy rash covering my upper body and belly, along with gassiness. Taking Benadryl to counteract the rash helps somewhat, but I am in a drowsy fog all day long. I am *this* close to running to the ER (it is the weekend, my doctor is closed, and Urgent Care will only pump me full of more Benadryl) because I cannot stand the itching and the red itchy blotches are getting bigger and spreading all the time. DON'T take this garbage!!! Shame on Blue Cross (a supposed not for profit company) for forcing these lousy generics on us.Read More Read Less

This medicine is NO Match to the Prevacid I've been taking for years. I have to take zantac twice a day along with the prevacid. Because of insurance reasons I had to change to this pink capsule and I've been taking it for appx. a month and it Does Not Work! I can't stand being sick at all especially with burning acid in my stomach that rides up and out of my throat! I am Not a Smoker or a Drinker of Alcohol and I'm still miserable! This generic medication just does not work for me. I give it a thumbs down, if I give it a "thumb" at all!Read More Read Less

After taking Prevacid successfully for years, I was switched to the generic by my HMO and this does not reduce acid, causes bloating and painful gas. I will pay whatever for the Prevacid, and this goes in the trash.

after several years of excrutiating "heart burn"(13yrs old to 30yrs)I wasintroduced to this drug and have been taking 30mg daily for 18mnths now with minimal reflux symptoms, not changing alcohol or diet consumptions at first, the drug was highly effective: however making these changes to consumptions was the best thing to do! The only side effects I have experienced was the softening of stool and more frequent bowel movements.happy pooping!!!

having tried another OTC product for this condition but have seen nearly immediate improvement with this OTC lansoprazole. I perfer to mix it with naproxen for arthritis pain relief.
