Oxycodone is the BEST pain medication for CHRONIC SEVERE LOWER LUMBAR BACK PAIN! It works a bit less by the 4th year or so, but, at least takes the "edge" off more than any other pain medication. The problem is....many, many doctors will not take you on as a patient for "chronic severe pain" with anything...if you need any narcotic in order to function! They ALL seem to be "FRAIDY CATS" because...

Everyone Who is reading this and taking this drug, get ready for the your life is about to become. If you stay on it longer than 6 weeks you are now in the oxy-head club! Once you reach tolerance level, and taking over what the Dr. prescribes its over, you loose libido, the interest in going out , ya i've heard the whole Quantity over Quality life bit spoken like a true hooked, yes addicted per...

I have been taking oxycodone 20mg 4 times daily for severe nerve pain for 6 years..It has ALWAYS eased my pain UNTIL 4 days ago when I switched pharmacies..the oxycodone they gave me was made by Rhodes..I have been in unbearable pain..my blood pressure is very high..I am extremely shaky..I finally realized I am in withdraw! RHODES OXYCODONE IS USELESS. IT WAS AS IF I HAD BEEN EATING CANDY instead of my oxycodone..THIS IS DANGEROUS ..HOW IS THIS COMPANY GETTING AWAY WITH THIS??? Literally page after page online of people saying they had the exact same experience..I know am forced to admit myself to the hospital because I feel as if Im having a heart attack Read More Read Less

Was on oxycontin for herniated disc and failed surgery. I was taking 4 OxyContin 80 mg throughout the day for about a year. At that point I lost my insurance and could no longer afford OxyContin and was put on oxycodone 30 mg tablets . I was on them for about 8 years and prescribed 4 30 mg 4times a day so 16 30 mg tablets a day and was cut off after 8 years of having clean drug tests because I took a hit off a joint just one hit! My life has been miserable ever since!!! Just waiting to die! No enjoyment in life in chronic pain 24/7 can move very well and pain so unbearable many times during the day I just wish it all would end!! So sick of federal government controlling my life so sick of dr profiling me so f ing sick of all the bullshit I should not have to live in this about of pain!! Pain in my legs back hips is excruciating!!!Read More Read Less

To Atticus-- You are not alone, my friend; I was on the Rhoades 20 mg. Oxyodone and it was completely non-efficacious. I had been given this med because a new pharmacist gave me the wrong brand, and I did not check before accepting. Well, this pill was HUGE. Like a prop pill in a comedy sketch. This means FILLER, less of the active ingredient. I awoke in the middle of the night with rapid fire sneezing; a withdrawal symptom of mine. This "medication" didn't have enough narcotic to keep me from being in withdrawal for 5 or 6 hours. I only use another brand now. Don't believe what you hear that they've ALL gone downhill. It's just that people have been used to being on 200 mg./day and now the poor people have been cut off. Of course every brand is going to seem ineffective. But RHOADES? For sure, a terrible brand. Anything from AUROBINDO (they bought out MALLINKRODT, so now MALLINKRODT is no good) is HIGHLY suspect. Indian company, which in and of itself not a problem...rumours of corruption are rampant. Question: Why can't American Pharmaceutical companies supply Americans with their pain pharmaceuticals? This is an important question...let's not hold our breath waiting for a response, right? You need to CHANGE PHARMACIES. CVS was found to be in bed with Mckesson, the company who fueled the Florida pill mills. This can be found on line, so I am not crying FIRE! in a crowded theater. I hope my comment will pass muster. Take care. Read More Read Less

I guess everybody is different. I have chronic lower back pain and generic Percocet does the job for me. However, I have found the Rhodes brand to be almost useless. And I cannot tell you why. All I can tell is that for me it does not work. Amneal works fine, but right now you can't get it. I see my pain doctor in 45 minutes and am going to try straight oxy with no acetamenophen. I have been on 5 mg every six hours for years with no problems. I don't get a buzz. I don't get high. I just get out of pain, and I can do the stuff I want. As far as I'm concerned this is a miracle drug. Read More Read Less

You people are wack. I'm taking Rhodes oxy 20 mg and they are just fine. I've taken Amneal and Mallinckrodt just as good just take a little longer to take effect. No withdrawals. Same pain relief. Don't believe the lies. I read the reviews before and expected them not to work but I was pleasantly surprised. The only brand I've found to be truly subpar is Camber.

I have tried a few brands of pain meds but the Rhodes brand is the only one that has ever touched my back pain and arthritis pain long term use it still has the rest beat and I'm thankful this is still available but at times there has been a shortage in our area , nothing else works in n my books.

Three separate case of Lyme Disease have destroyed my health. Chronic pain, CFS, EBV & Fibromyalgia. My prescription is for 5mg. generic oxycodone every six hours. I’m extremely sensitive to fluctuations in barometric pressure, so I have to take it every 4 hours during hurricane season. Fortunately I have an excellent doctor & after 14 years he knows my case well & trusts that I won’t abuse it. I hate being dependent on it but I have to function. The problem is with the manufacturers. Alvogen, Rhodes & now KVK have all changed their formulas. I’ve had to switch pharmacies four times but now I’ve finally found one that will get Mallinkrodt products. There is another consistent & reliable brand, but it’s more expensive, so most pharmacies don’t/won’t carry it & insurance won’t pay for it. It’s a real pity for honest people with legitimate issues that we can’t get even low dose treatment without getting a hassle from every source. Why doesn’t the FDA crack down on the companies that are doing more harm than good? If the formula was the same across the board & was strictly monitored & enforced there would be a lot less miserable people. Spend our taxes on things that matter like this instead of wasting it on space exploration.Read More Read Less

I was given oxycodone a few times... broken tooth, fractured arm, gun shot... but more recently for some deterioration in my spine, among a few other issues. I am aware of all the possible dangers of the misuse and even proper use of this medication. This is the reason I have been careful and very open and communicative with the Dr. Here a few weeks ago, I was told to ween off the drug so as to avoid withdrawal. I asked why was this happening? Was I getting another medication? Did I do something wrong? Nope. The doc said he wasn't comfortable giving this medication because of all the addiction and overdoses. I kindly asked if I had shown any red flags. Nope. Said I was a great patient. Then why leave me hanging? He gave me ibuprofen or some crap and my quality of life has gone way down. I can't walk without a cane now. I can't sleep more than 2 hours at a time, if at all. [Because of the pain. I did not withdrawal] And quite a list of other problems. Because of all this, I have become grumpy and bitter. I can't find another dr to take me on because of the stigma of oxycodone. I'm still in need of a pain medication, doesn't have to be a narcotic, just one that is effective. And a dr who isn't spineless. Read More Read Less

The Rhodes Pharmaceuticals brand RP 10/325 is useless and upsets my stomach. It doesn't do anything to relieve any pain at all. This seems to be the only brand CVS is getting right now. Last month was the first time I got this brand and it did nothing. I called the pharmacist and told her I was feeling sick and had no pain relief and she said something in the affect that I'm not the only one complaining. I'm headed to get a drug test kit now, my cost, to see if I even have any Opioid in my system at all. If I were to test negative at a random drug test, my Doctor will cut me off completely and that can not happen. Read More Read Less

I have been a chronic pain patient for over 15 years, with one good disc from my neck to my lower back. I have NEVER had such horrible, Poor Meds as in Rhodes brand Oxycodone. It has abosulely no effect on my pain. Nomrally I can get an hour-3 hours relief on a 6 hr script, Rhodes brand, which I had to pay more for, is like taking Tyllenol, Does Zero in helping my Pain. RUN from this Manufacturer!

Been taking Oxycodone 30mg for many years due to severe car accident. In the 20 years of being on pain meds I’ve rarely had problems with quality, etc., however, I picked up my meds yesterdays and for the first time ever, I received Rhodes brand Oxycodone 30m immediate release. Let me be very clear in that it does NOT work well as compared to others. First time ever in which I’m feeling withdrawal-type symptoms. Just called my Dr’s office to share that I would like to “surrender” these pills and asked that a new script be sent into pharmacy. I thought it was maybe just me but look at these reviews with the same feedback! Not good…. Do not accept these pills. Further, you can’t get your money back if you walk out of store with them. I have had spinal fusion, i have had the nerves in my back burned, i have had steroids injected into my back, over an 8 year period, nothing except oxycodone acetaminophen stop's this pain, on Friday October 21st i received a prescription from CVS, R/P. 5/325. Oxycodone acetaminophen 5mg manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals. Today is Monday October 24th I have ingested 17 out of 60 pills with zero results to control my sciatica pain. It's my opinion I am now a victim of a pharmaceutical company Misrepresenting a controlled substance, distributing a placebo labled as oxycodone acetaminophen. I am going to call this Rhodes Pharmaceutical today and tell them that if they don't fix my medications problem I intend to hire an attorney and file a class action lawsuit against their company for misrepresenting a controlled substance, i take my pain relief very seriously and they have profited from my pain by giving me a fake pain reliever, I will give them an opportunity to fix my medication by the end of today and then I turn their garbage over to an attorney to have its ingredients tested, i did not agree to participate in any placebo study.Read More Read Less

Take this brand on an empty stomach with some fat to make it work better. Very odd. I got Rhodes brand a few years ago and had withdrawals, it was awful. Yesterday I got that brand again, pharmacist said it was all be could get, and Dr was closed for the weekend, so couldn’t get a new electronic script. I took it and couldn’t believe it. It works now. All I can figure is Rhodes has bad quality control, I must have lucked out this time and received a batch that actually has oxycodone in it. I’m talking to my Dr about this, I have to find a way to avoid this brand, it is not consistent, and usually is a placebo. The darned electronic prescriptions are a pain. You can’t just take it to another pharmacy, now you have to get the old one cancelled and a new prescription called in. Rhodes is awful. I’ve only had two instances where it worked, 5mg tabs and 10mg tabs at different times. I’d estimate 90% of Rhodes oxy is useless. Thank you God I got a good bottle this time. Read More Read Less

Twelve spine surgeries resulting in extreme chronic pain. Oxycodone works. I was able to work ten additional years because of this drug. No functional impairment. Yes, you get dependent but what choice do you have as nothing else helps at all. Agree that there is significant variability in brands. If you get a bad one, you are in severe pain for a month. Mallinckrodt brand of Percocet 10 mg and Oxycodone 15 mg have always worked well for me. KVK tech - side effects. SpecGx - about 2/3 as effective compared to Mallinckrodt.Read More Read Less

Mallinckrodt is now absolute garbage. They are "now" the weakest most ineffective brand of all. I went through withdrawal and a week of hell when they switched me to this brand. I now have nausea, mood swings, and almost no energy or desire to do anything everyday not to mention almost no pain relief. These companies are more concerned with saving junkies than helping legit pain patients.

I've tried injections, nerve blocks, prescription Nsaids, etc. They all fell way short of how Oxycodone has helped me in my quality of life for 6 years now. I also have high blood pressure. Oxycodone actually helps me there as well. There are FAR more benefits than bad side-effects and the dreaded "ADDICTION." I have bulging discs and severe arthritis from working my butt off for 50 years. So now that I'm retired, I deserve to be as comfortable as possible no matter how many mgs I need to make that happen. As far as the CDC and DEA goes, they all can take a long walk off a short pier!! THEY are the problem, NOT my pain medications! So please, Government Alphabet Soup, stay the hell away from me and we'll all get along just fine!Read More Read Less
