Quite frankly vancimycin is the best but due to chronic kidney disease the doctor used IV oxicillin..It certainly helped and I am able to walk right now but it will not kill it in the bone..I chose not to use vanco because I did not want to be on dialysis..the oxicilin slowed the disease and killed the septic results in the rest of my body, it even cleared the fungus on my toenails...but the staph infection is still in my hip bone and will eventually engulf my body again..No serious side effects and was better than killing my kidneys.
