pallidectomy
Pronunciation (pal′i-dek′tŏ-mē)
- Excision or destruction of the globus pallidus, usually by stereotaxy; a prefix may indicate the method used, e.g., chemopallidectomy (destruction by a chemical agent), cryopallidectomy (destruction by cold).
